The Climbing wall attendant is responsible for actively supervising bouldering, top rope climbing, and lead climbing at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Center. Attendant is responsible for instructing members on the safe and effective use of the facility and personal protective equipment. Attendant also manages the check in desk, equipment, cleans the climbing area, and assists with inventory and maintenance. Attendant has a focus on managing risk, customer service, and member safety.
Club Sports Supervisor
The Rental Center attendant is responsible for assisting members with outdoor recreational equipment. Attendant needs to be knowledgeable on how equipment items function, intended uses, maintenance, and demonstrate quality instruction to members renting equipment. Attendant is responsible for being knowledgeable of local and regional areas to camp, paddle, hike, climb, and cycle. Attendant also oversees the open stand time of the bicycle shop. Attendant possesses basic bicycle riding and maintenance skills. Attendant will assist members in registering for the most appropriate trip for their desired trip goals, skill level and personal fitness level.
Will communicate daily with club members, officers and coaches of each club. Must facilitate customer service practices to offer best experience to participants. Club Sports Supervisor will complete all required paperwork and submit it in a timely manner, assist clubs with the set-up, break down, and cleanup of event venues, and will observe clubs practices and events to ensure participant and spectator safety and monitor behavior. Must check out and check in club equipment and uniforms, clean and maintain accurate records of all equipment, and complete injury reports and promptly submit them to the Campus Recreation office. Will enforce all rules and regulations regarding participation in club sports.Facility Attendant
Facility Attendants (FA’s) will greet patrons in a courteous and professional manner, inform and enforce facility policies and utilize customer service skills to provide a pleasant experience for all patrons. They must assist the professional staff and serve as the first-responder to all emergencies within the facility. They monitor numerous areas of the facility including the basketball courts, weight room, and cardio deck for usage, participant behavior, and building security. FA’s will enforce regulations concerning facility use, provide information to patrons, and perform daily custodial duties to maintain a safe, sanitary, and aesthetically pleasing environment.Group Fitness Instructor
Must be an energetic, friendly and motivating person who believes physical activity leads to a healthier life. Will teach 1 - 4 group fitness classes per week. Must attend mandatory staff meetings and In-House trainings. Group Fitness Instructor training and/or Primary Group Fitness certification (ACE/AFAA) required.Intramural Official
Will officiate all intramural sport games including flag football, soccer, volleyball, basketball and softball. Training for each sport will take place before the season begins.Can work one or multiple sports. Officials will learn rules for multiple sports and learn leadership skills. Officials will have the opportunity to become an intramural staff member if endorsed by current staff members.Lifeguard
Will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and supervision of the pool facility. Must perform all routine maintenance tasks in a courteous and professional manner in accordance with the specific training provided by Auburn University. Lifeguards will adhere to a strict set of guidelines designed to ensure the safest and cleanest environment possible. Certification required, or ability to obtain such training before start date.Marketing Assistant / Intern
Each semester, Team Marketing provides internship opportunities and student employment to many Auburn undergraduates.
Assist Campus Recreation in the areas of marketing, photography, graphic design, special events, social media, web design/content management, analytics, blogging, and communication. Produce and distribute news releases, blog posts, brochures, signage, digital communications, flyers, etc. for all Campus Recreation programs and events. Assist in the distribution of marketing material through print, digital, web, and other mediums.
Attend various recruiting events promoting Campus Recreation programs and services including Camp War Eagle, War Eagle Days, SOS, etc.
Must fulfill scheduled tasks/projects in a timely manner, meeting assigned deadlines. A working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite is preferred for graphic designers.
Undergraduates enrolled in marketing, graphic design, public relations, communication, web design/development, journalism, or IT are best suited for our team.

Will be responsible for providing clients with a safe and effective exercise program. The primary duty of the trainer is to motivate, encourage and assist each client in attaining his/her personal fitness goals, as well as improve upon their current fitness level. Personal Trainer must provide excellent leadership, up-to-date quality instruction, and dedication to service and high-energy motivation to each client. Must have a genuine interest in the development of fitness and the well being of the staff and students. Personal Trainers must maintain current Personal Training and CPR/AED certifications through participation in continuing education credits, workshops and training.Swim Instructor
Will teach swim lessons from preschool, youth, teen and adult participants while ensuring safety and patron satisfaction. Swim Instructor will have regularly scheduled shifts, and all aquatics staff will be required to attend a monthly in-service meeting and must be available for quarterly training. Certification required, or ability to obtain such training before start date.
