Important Information for Members

  • Recreation and Wellness Center members voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19 and the observance of university guidelines while participating in high-intensity exercise.

  • If you are medically able, please wear a face covering while moving about common areas of the facility. Limited oxygen during physical activity increases heart rate, perceived exhaustion, and should be considered by all members. We do not recommend high-intensity exercise while wearing a face covering. Some research indicates that wearing a face covering may be unsafe for those who suffer from cardiovascular disease, COPD, trouble breathing, or any other type of heart or lung disease.
  • Hand washing is one of the best ways to stop the spread. Wash for at least 20 seconds.
  • Social distancing is key to keeping everyone healthy and safe. Please remain 6 feet apart.

  • Taking the elevator? If possible, take the stairs. Only two people per elevator trip, please. Use of a face covering is required. Practice physical distancing.

  • Taking the stairs? Maintain at least 6 feet distance. 8 stairs is approximately 6 feet. Use of a face covering is required.

  • Do not remove or relocate orange cones. Cones indicate machines or areas that need to be sanitized. Our team will sanitize machines with cones on a scheduled rotation throughout the day.

  • Thank you for helping keep the Auburn Family safe!
